Valmiera air field is an airfield on the northern edge of Valmiera along the A3 highway, 100 kilometers northeast of Riga, Latvia.
The airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1975-1985 timeframe.
It was used for agricultural activities by state-run Aeroflot.
It consisted of a small runway, and a small platform halfway and to the north of the runway.

Latvian Aviation listed the airfields condition in April 2011 as 'good'. The runway surface was clean and smooth, although trees needed to be cut at the end of RWY34. The former agricultural airfield had become a municipal airfield, owned by the municipality of Valmiera, a nearby town. Although the airfield is owned by the municipailty it was wiser to seek permission to use the airfield from the neighbours too, as their golf course ran right along the runway (within a few feet, that is)! The general condition of the airfield was good, although the platform and taxiway might have sand or small pebbles on them.
MyAirfields listed the airfield as 'good', but noted "it is surrounded by obstacles, what makes it difficult to approach, considering the requirement to maintain safe height over populated areas. The airfield itself is in a good state, runway surface is good, taxiway and aprons are usable. Takeoff from RWY34 is practically impossible because of trees very close to end of the RWY."

It was still uncertified however, meaning it was officially closed to all traffic.
