Balzers heliport (ICAO: LSXB) is the sole 'airfield' in Liechtenstein, although it carries a Swiss ICAO designator.
The airfield has three government helicopters based here, one for Liechtenstein's police, one for Liechtenstein's fire and rescue department and one for official government (Royal family) use. Rhein Helikopter AG is the only operational helicopter company servicing Balzers Heliport. In 2001, Rhein Helikopter became a joint venture between the Prince of Liechtenstein Foundation and Heliswiss. It offers charter flights and scheduled shuttle flights to St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport. Rhein Helikopter currently employs 10 people, all located at Balzers. The heliport is home to 5 civilian helicopters, including Europe's only Kaman K-Max.
